  In accordance with its Public Participation Policy, the Uniformity Committee provides this opportunity for members of the public to address the Committee and Subcommittees directly on this agenda. The Chair may also provide for public comment before or during discussion of specific agenda items.
IV. Federal & State Legislative Summary (Approx. 9:00-9:20) – MTC Staff
  Update on any federal legislative activity that might impact state taxation, or state legislation affecting the work of the Uniformity Committee.
V. Report – Art. IV (UDITPA) Sec. 1 & Sec. 17 Regulations – Recap and Status (Approx. 9:20-10:00) – Helen Hecht and Bruce Fort, MTC.
  Brief summary of the work done on proposed regulations, overview of the regulations, and next steps in the process.
VI. Report – Art. IV (UDITPA) Sec. 18 Regulation Project Work Group – Issues for Committee Discussion (Approx. 10:15-Noon) – Chris Coffman, WA, Bruce Fort and Sheldon Laskin, MTC
  Report of work group, potential issues to be addressed, and review and discussion of MTC model special industry regulations and any changes that may need to be made.

VII. Report - Partnership Informational Project (Approx. 1:15-2:00) – Helen Hecht, MTC
  Report of by staff on the status of new federal audit and adjustment rules, and other research and activities with respect to the project.
VIII. Committee Discussion – [1] What States are Doing in the Partnership Area, and [2] In Adopting Market Sourcing or Other Changes (Approx. 2:00-3:00) – Committee Members
  Committee members should come prepared to discuss what their states have done or are doing in the partnership area and in adopting market sourcing or other uniform provisions.
IX. “Baby Steps” Toward Full Sales Tax Enforcement (or Perhaps a Quill Challenge)? (3:15-3:45) – Lila Disque, MTC
  Report on status of certain legislation and litigation and how these and future developments may affect sales and use tax collection.
X. Roundtable Discussion (3:45-4:45)
  Members should come prepared to share developments or issues in their state’s tax system and sales and income tax areas, in particular.
