IV. Annual review of the Litigation Committee charter and consideration of possible amendments
V. Special Panel Presentation: States across the country are seeking to regulate and tax prediction markets. This panel will discuss what these markets are and how they work, whether Congress has preempted state authority to regulate them (there is a contentious debate), current litigation (there are many lawsuits), and revenue implications (material). Panelists include Deputy Solicitor General John Kerkhoff, State of Ohio, and Solicitor General Jeremy Feigenbaum, State of New Jersey.
VI. Group discussion: “Has the amount of SALT litigation changed in recent years and if so why is that?” We encourage all attendees to participate in the discussion.
